Priscilla Foreman
she/her
Priscilla Foreman is a digital creator based in Houston, Texas. She’s passionate about bringing inspiring stories and projects to digital audiences. She works as a social media specialist at Axiom Space, where she helps tell all kinds of stories from cancer advancements in microgravity to the spacesuits that will return humans to the moon. Her work experience includes NASA and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis, Tenn. She was also a writer on Beyond Beale, which received an honorable mention in NPR’s Student Podcast Challenge. Priscilla graduated from Rhodes College in 2023 with a double major in media studies and history. When she’s not staring at the stars, you can find her fishing on the banks of a local river.

Felicity Guajardo
she/her
Felicity Guajardo graduated from Texas State University in May 2025 with a degree in journalism. In the summer of 2024, she interned as a production assistant for Texas Standard, the daily news show on KUT 90.5. At Texas State, she served as news and culture director for KTSW 89.9, where she discovered her passion for audio production and set her sights on becoming a news producer. Felicity grew up in Taft, Texas, a small town near Corpus Christi, which inspires her commitment to community-based reporting. In her free time, she enjoys browsing antique shops and spending time with her cat, Olive Oyl.

Micaelli Magday
she/her
Micaelli Magday is a multimedia journalist from Arlington, Texas, and a senior at Texas Wesleyan University majoring in mass communications and media with a minor in studio arts. She serves as managing editor, writer and graphic designer for The Rambler, her student newspaper. In the summer of 2025, she interned with The Well News, a D.C.-based political publication, where she worked as a writer and graphic designer. A quick way to Micaelli’s heart is through conversations about food, travel, thrifting and fashion. She enjoys repurposing vintage clothing and hopes to one day launch her own sustainable fashion business. Micaelli cherishes time with her Filipino family and community and is passionate about uncovering the profound stories of everyday people in her area through journalism.

Melissa Nguyen
she/her
Melissa Nguyen is a UX content designer and writer based in Austin, Texas. She enjoys engaging with her community through media arts and storytelling; a core tenet of her work is highlighting stories from communities experiencing social, economic or political exclusion and discrimination. She’s currently developing a podcast series centered on grief and producing a documentary short on a death doula in Austin’s Indigenous community. She’s deeply curious about hyperlocal stories. When Melissa isn’t writing, she’s playing Terraforming Mars or sharing secrets with her 12-year-old tabby, Ollie.

Sofia Sierra
she/her
Sofia Sierra is a senior at the University of Texas at El Paso. She was born and raised in El Paso, where she grew up in a binational culture on the U.S./Mexico border. She began her journalism career as a reporter and editor for The Prospector, the student newspaper at the UTEP. She also copy-edited for Minero Magazine, UTEP’s bilingual magazine, and worked with El Paso Matters, a local nonprofit newsroom. Sofia spent the summer of 2025 interning with the Dallas Morning News, where she wrote for the food and events team and learned more about Dallas from a colorful lens. In her free time, she enjoys reading books.

Jessica Shuran Yu
Jessica Shuran Yu is a reporter who’s passionate about finding overlooked stories and using journalism to shine a light on abuses of power. She is currently a reporting fellow at The Texas Tribune, where she covers breaking news, the state legislature, criminal justice, health care and more. She graduated with honors from Columbia Journalism School with a master’s in investigative journalism. Previously she was a competitive figure skater for 10 years and the first Singaporean to compete at the World Championships. She speaks Mandarin, and her reporting has appeared in Documented NY and The Guardian. When she’s not writing, you can find her in a dance studio or at the gym.
